One of the best ways to understand what Restorative Justice is, is to see real examples of RJ in action.

We have been involved in bringing successful outcomes using RJ in many settings.

In schools, we have facilitated circles that give school staff an alternative to school suspensions for handling cases such as:

- bullying

- vandalism

- theft

In the criminal justice system, we have worked with over one hundred cases in Boulder County alone. As an alternative to standard sentencing and probation, we have facilitated RJ conferences for cases including:

- vehicular homicide

- verbal harrassment

Real People, Real Stories

Browse stories compiled by Restorative Justice Online, a project of the Prison Fellowship Institute. These stories of actual victims, offenders and community members who have participated in restorative processes help illustrate the benefits and limitations of restorative justice practices.
